MEET AL ELMORE
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I offer individual counseling, couples counseling, and speaking engagements for both small and large groups. I currently operate my own private practice located in Northwest Atlanta. I incorporate tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Attachment-Based Therapy to teach clients “healing and growth through self-awareness and skill development.”
In couples counseling my goal is to help clients and their partners restore trust, intimacy and passion in their relationships. Sometimes, destructive habits can get in the way of a healthy relationship or marriage. I use Gottman training methods to assist couples in healing and moving forward from past issues. During individual counseling sessions, I help clients tackle common issues such as stress and anxiety to more complex issues like addictive behaviors (sex addiction, pornography, substance abuse, etc.)
It is my goal to listen to every clients' unique complexities, honor their personal stories, identify strengths, and collaborate with them to develop healthy and fulfilling relationships.
